crafts4you e-commerce web site development
Intertec has recently completed the design and development of an e-commerce store for Crafts 4 You, an online company that specialises in craft and hobby products. To provide a simple, secure, yet personalised, shopping experience for Crafts 4 You clients, Intertec consultants worked closely with Crafts 4 You managers to scope the requirements of the online store and to design an easy-to-use and visually pleasing interface that would enhance the online shopping experience of customers.
The Intertec team instituted total front and back end integration with an e-commerce gateway to enable secure credit card transactions. We also implemented a fresh design, incorporating Macromedia Flash technology, to enhance the visual appeal of the site. Our overall design approach has allowed Crafts 4 You to independently populate the e-commerce database and to administer and manage transactions with the web site. Intertec completed the development of the entire e-commerce site in time for Crafts 4 You’s marketing and promotion launch via media channels and exhibitions in WA.

sales planning tool developed for COSOL
Intertec Consulting recently completed the development of a sales planning tool for global mining consultancy, COSOL. The COSOL Sales Planning Tool (SPT) allows key sales and business development staff to plan, schedule and act on sales opportunities.
Incorporating advanced functions, including the ability to export opportunities and to alert sales teams in regards to opportunity updates via email, the SPT has been critical in streamlining COSOL sales planning activities, effectively maximising efficiencies in the sales team’s tasks and activities.
bhp billiton nickel west - northern nickel project: multimedia presentations
Intertec multimedia and design consultants have recently designed and developed high-level multimedia presentations for BHP Billiton Nickel West’s Northern Area Nickel Project and Mount Keith Operations Project. These presentations combine audio-visual elements and animation to outline the Projects, their objectives and execution strategies within BHP Billiton Nickel West’s sustain and grow strategy in the North West. The multimedia presentations are aimed at a broad range of Nickel West audiences, from senior management to members of the project teams, particularly those who have recently joined the projects and require a quick and accessible briefing of the projects’ respective aims, scope and execution plans.
Developed using a formal design methodology involving conceptualisation, storyboarding, prototyping and development, Intertec designers worked closely with Nickel West project leaders to workshop content and prepare detailed storyboards of the presentation, including textual content, graphics, animation, audio and voice-over commentary. Once the storyboards were approved, Intertec’s multimedia development team constructed a conceptual prototype, which was later developed into complete multimedia presentation using Macromedia Flash technology. The presentations have been very well received by all levels of Nickel West, including Directors, Management and Staff.
city of perth great bike ride
Intertec has been commissioned to build a web site for the City of Perth Great Bike Ride. This event is a mass participation community cycle tour around the river from Perth to Fremantle and return, similar in concept to the City to Surf run and the Rottnest Channel Swim. Open to everyone - from novices to elite riders, and corporate teams, The City of Perth Great Bike Ride target numbers for the second year are 8,000 and based on the experience of similar rides elsewhere in the world and the rising popularity of cycling, they expect these numbers to increase to around 15,000 within 5 years.
The City of Perth Great Bike Ride web site is designed to be simple and slick. A Macromedia Flash component is embedded in the top banner adding “street appeal” to the web site. Competitors can find all the information they require about the event and there is a web registration form and on-line payment service they can use to enter and pay for the event. A second Macromedia Flash component is included in the footer of each page which acts as a ticker-tape for displaying the major, minor and charity sponsors of the event.
hillarys chiropractic
Intertec has been commissioned to design and build a web site for Hillarys Chiropractic. Hillarys Chiropractic are committed to providing their clients with the highest levels of service in their practise whilst showing compassion for each of their patience.
Incorporating the clients corporate branding and look & feel, Intertec graphic designers came up with a unique web site design that uses an entirely Flash Macromedia home page for both the landing page information and navigation options. This together with rolling collage images of Hillarys practise has given our client a web site that is very easy to use and appears as a natural extension of the current businesses marketing activities. The use of photos and images from the practise itself conveys a clear and accurate message about Hillarys and their services to their intended audience.
